University of Basrah’s College of Agriculture Holds a Scientific Seminar on Sustainable Solutions to Agricultural Challenges in Collaboration with the Technology Incubator

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, President of the University of Basrah, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the Department of Soil and Water Resources Sciences, in cooperation with the Technology Incubator Unit, organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Sustainable Solutions to Agricultural Problems / Climate-Smart Agricultural Practices”, held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Department of Soil and Water Resources Sciences Hall.

The seminar featured lectures by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Abdul Hai Bashar, Mr. Ali Raihan, and Mr. Najm Abdullah Abdul Nabi, who discussed climate-smart agricultural practices and their role in improving resource efficiency and mitigating environmental impacts in the agricultural sector.

The event aimed to promote awareness of sustainable agricultural technologies and encourage researchers and farmers to adopt innovative farming approaches aligned with Iraq’s sustainable development goals, thereby supporting food security and environmental protection.
